I have had this washer since 2001, I only had a minor issue with the dryer when I needed to order a new part for the door. for some reason the button stopped working so it didn't recognize the door was closed, I ordered the part and put it in my self took about 3 day today down time. No big deal I do Laundry once a week. Other then that I love this machine and wish they were still making a stack able front load in case I need a replacement in the next 10 years.

I am so disappointed in this unit and completely disappointed with Maytag. I bought the unit in 2006. The washer stops mid-cycle and shuts off. I can turn it back on but 2 minutes later it shuts off again, and so on and so on. I called the recommended Maytag service person and he said Maytag doesn't even know how to fix it. They finally suggested a new part, and of course, once the new part went in the washer worked for one washing and then broke again. I have ZERO confidence in Maytag. I believe they have just given up on Maytag Neptune products. This stacked washer/dryer was purchased in 2006 for a vacation home so it was not used very often at all! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!! Maytag has HORRIBLE customer service too... they won't even return my phone calls or emails!

We have had this unit for almost 10 years and only recently have we had any issues with it. The dryer belt has started to squeak. The wash and dry cycle are closely matched so that you are not waiting to start the next load. I am able to do more loads in a shorter time compared to my original washer/dryer set.
Do not believe the first rating posted; these machines use very little water and do not fill up when washing. So there is no way of flooding the floor by opening the door mid-cycle.

I have been without my washer for 2 mo. always waiting for parts .always waiting for service from the company warranty..The problem is the washer stops in mid cycle .
the door lock indicator shows the wash is done .If I open the door without checking cycle progression ,I flood the room. I don't think the spin cycle is working either, it's just a mess..been waiting for maytag to contact me and hopefully they can help.
