THE OVEN PERFORMS BEAUTIFULLY AND WHEN TESTED WITH A CERTIFIED OVEN THERMOMETER WE FOUND THE ELECTRONIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL TO BE ACCURATE AND LINEAR OVER A BROAD RANGE OF TEMPERATURES.WOULD WE RECOMMEND THIS UNIT, YOU BET. BLACK TOP IS NOT PROBLEMATIC IF YOU FOLLOW THE CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED OR CHECK THE SCHOTT GLASS WEBSITE FOR THEIR CLEANING PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS. SIMPLICTY IS THE KEYWORD AS IT DOES NOT HAVE ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES BUT THAT WAS WHAT WE WANTED. ALL OF THAT AND MADE IN THE USA. 9/13/11

Rated 5 out of 5 This is a great range.... My wife and I are really enjoying the new range...we bought the white model not the black as shown. Madison beat everyones price even with the freight costs to our home. The only issue, which was a small one, was the unit is shipped motor freight meaning, if you don't have a loading dock on your house:-), it is a little problematic getting it off. With the help of the driver and a little muscle we slid it to the ground and used the drivers two wheel cart to get it to the garage. Just be prepared for this and have adequate muscle available. 11/11/10

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jane A disaster I am a devoted Maytag fan - have been for 30 years - but this stove, in white, is the worst appliance ever. I have just ordered a new black cooktop for it in order to salvage the $1500+ I spent on it. The oven is fine, the range was beautiful but only until the first time I used it; EVERY time it's cooked on - even to boil water- it has to be scrubbed. All pans make horrible black and brown marks on it and I have very good pots and pans. 1/17/09
