Rated 5 out of 5 Neat basic slide-in smooth top range My last slide-in range was a Maytag very similar to this one. It "ran forever" . I purchased this stove because I had such good luck with my previous Maytag. It does not have "bells and whistles" but I wanted a simple straightforward stove. The addition of the 12" power boost burner in front is a REALLY useful addition (big kettles, skillets, and canner kettles). The knob controls do not stick up above the burner surface but are on front. They push and turn so it is very unlikely they would be "turned on by accident". The top is easy to clean and has a very slightly raised edge around the glass top so any spills are contained on the top surface and do not run off into the knob controls or get into the interior of the stove in any way! Baking mode seems very adequate. 9/8/11
