Having used many countertop microwaves in our old home in an over-the-stove configuration designed by the previous homeowner, I was unhappy with the 1987 GE over-the-range in the newer home to which we moved. It seemed underpowered, though the instruction book swore that it used 1000 watts. I did not want to replace my GE ,when it broke, with another GE. The LG draws 1100 watts, making it significantly more powerful, has sensor cook, which works very well indeed, and is enough larger inside to take my large Corning Ware casseroles. It fit right onto the GE metal supports already on the wall, (thank you reviewers for advising us of this ahead of time,) making installation very easy. We've used the LG about a month, now, and are quite pleased. Although its design is a bit off center from the GE stove below, the difference in appearance between the two brands is not immediately noticeable. I chose Madison for my purchase because their website was highly informative and well organized. Their price was excellent. Service was quick, and the microwave arrived unscathed.

Heat Great! Looks Good! While runnung armatron is quiet! But turntable sound like a rock crusher, you can hear the drivetrain turning the platter...Also push buttons are not set up well, power button is in a wierd spot....

Heats thoroughly. No complaints. It is a little harder to keep clean but so far so good.

Unfortunately after using our "new" microwave less than 5 times, a bunch of the buttons on the touchpad have stopped working. The START button doesn't work! Makes things rather inconvenient. LG customer service said I was on my own as it was out of warranty, even though it has basically never been used.
