Professional Design, Professional Cooking
The microwave was one of the greatest inventions of all time; providing a faster way to cook a meal, or heat up a side dish. But what if you just need to keep a dish warm without overcooking it? This LG microwave comes with a warming lamp so you can keep food warm and ready to serve for up to 90 minutes. And with an Extenda Vent, your kitchen air will stay fresh for the moment you're ready to enjoy it.
Catch the smoke
Over the Range microwaves have always been great at capturing the smoke from the back burners of your stovetop, but not the front burners. LG introduces the Extenda Vent, which covers the entire cooking surface allowing for even greater ventilation.
Warming Lamp
LG revolutionizes microwave cooking with the introduction of the first Warming Lamp. The warming lamp uses a radiant heating element to keep food warm, as opposed to microwaves or a hot bulb.
Monitor Design
Moving the controls to the bottom of this microwave oven gives it a unique look suitaible for your design sensibilities.
Keep Quiet
With an Over the Range Microwave Oven, strong ventilation is key. That's why LG has created the QuietPower vent, which does the job quietly, without interrupting your life.
Sensor Cooking
Eliminate the guesswork in cooking. Humidity-sensing technology determines when food is cooked and automatically turns off the microwave to prevent the over- or under-cooking of meals.
Look like a pro
This microwave will help you cook the perfect meal every time and match your design sensibilities. LG's Professional Design features ease of accessibility and a pro-style, assymetrical design.

I bought this for the extended vent and controls on the bottom of the door. The extended vent is not worth anything if the venting is poor to start with. My old Microwave vented better (whirlpool) then this one and in less then 2 years the door has to be closed a little harder now then when new for the microwave to work.

The sound mechanisim went out, (could happen with any brand) but a repair tech was at my door within 48 hours to diagnose the problem and order the part that needed replacement. The unit is user friendly and has a very clean and sophisticated look about it. Wife and I are very plaesed with this item.

Chuck Beware of LG Touchpads in the Door
My microwave sits in a heap of parts in my garage. Why? A low-cost simple-to-fix wire harness that feeds from the touch panel around the door hinge into the microwave wore with time and then broke. So why am I complaining? Microwaves are complex. They can break. But they should also be repairable without blowing up. This is a common problem when the touch pad is in a door that opens. Avoid these. Only buy microwaves with touch pads on the main unit.
LG was of no help to the poor service guy that came out three times to try LG suggestions. None worked. We found the problem purely by a fluke (moving the door reconnected the broken wire shortly). When the new harness arrived, it looked different (had padding around the wear area). LG didn’t send out a notice about the fix, didn’t warn the serviceman, and then when he put in the new harness, the m/w blew. He backed way and left saying that he couldn’t go any further due to liability.
So now I have a pile of parts in the garage, with a service bill. I’ve received no assurances from LG that the design problem has been addressed.
I even wrote a polite and nice letter to Seog-Won Park, the CEO of LG America, stating the problem. Even though his business principal is “identifying consumer insights in order to create customer value,” I received no response.
LG doesn’t have a service system that warns you about fixes, doesn’t have a system that warns servicemen about causes, and doesn’t implement design that lends itself to repair diagnostics. If nothing goes wrong, you’ll be fine. Myself, I’m staying away from all LG products until they fix their design to maintenance system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nn Need Adjustable rack
I like this product in terms of performance.
I had hard time using when i have to heat multiple dishes due to fixed rack system.
Bottom rack is not big enough for average bowl.
U can use only two flat bowels at a time.
It would have been better had they provided adjustable rack inside.
