A Kindred food waste disposer will simplify your life. Just turn on the cold water at the sink, empty food waste into the disposer opening, and switch on the unit with an on/off wall switch, or a mounted air switch. In either case, the idea is that food may be continuously fed into the disposer while it is running. It only takes seconds. A spinning metal plate pushes the food waste against a tough grinding ring fixed to the wall of the disposer chamber. The waste is ground safely and quickly into fine particles which then pass through small holes in the plate, and are flushed out in suspension through the plumbing drain lines.
