The quality of washing is good. It is good even for pots and pans. However it has few problems.
It spends a long time to wash. About 2 hours if I do not use some additional features.
Sophisticated geometry of top rack is designed probably to make sure that water is not accumulated on the bottom of cups (cups should be placed bottom up). However it does not help. The same time I need some creativity to make sure that cup does not fall during wash cycle.
In new dishwasher less space for pots. In old dishwasher I was able to wash 3 pots at the same time.
It has cycle to wash china crystal. However I spent time to place items safety. However I decided to remove few items because I was not sure about their safety. However few of items that was put safety was damaged when wash cycle was over. So I decided not to use this dishwasher for china crystal. Previous dishwasher was perfect for this.
It uses like Robinson Crusoe vertical bars to tell how long it suppose to wash. So I need to guess how much time I should wait when cycle is over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy camper Repeat Kitchen Aide dishwasher purchase
I bought another Kitchen Aide dishwasher because the 1st one lasted so long trouble free (12 yrs) but it started to look weathered so I replaced it. I liked the kuds30cx because it contempory look & style. I wanted another well built machine so I could get another 10 plus years out of it. The stainless steel tube sold me especially for the price. So far, I am a happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by greenwood gal A good choice
I would really recommend this dishwasher if you are looking for an alternative to the European models. I had heard that the food filters combined with no heated dry resulted in wet dishes and an eventual bacteria smell. I purposely chose this dishwasher because of the garbage disposal and the heated dry element. I couldn't be happier and I always use the program lock to prevent accidental cycle changes which were the major complaints with this model. Very happy.
