I replaced a 14 year old KitchenAid with this model. It is several times quieter than my original KitchenAid dishwasher, and that dishwasher was much quieter than the GE it replaced.
Because of the energy saving features, it takes a lot longer to complete a wash/dry cycle. In energy saving mode, you might get some items in the dishwasher that are not completely dry. It does have "normal" cycles that are not energy saving if you choose to use them.
The controls on the top edge of the door take some getting used to. I keep pressing the Drain/Cancel button by accident when I open and close the door. I'll eventually get over that!
This dishwasher is well made, and in my opinion well worth the money. I ordered it from AJ Madison on a Saturday and it arrived on a Tuesday. Hard to beat that for service. This was a self install.

PROS: This dishwasher is very, very quiet. I love the lights that light up to let you know the stage of dishwashing you're in. I love the look and the flat handles. I have had no issues. It is working great and my dishes have never been cleaner. The entire outside is stainless steel, even the sides.
CONS: One thing I was disappointed in after purchase was that there was no light in the refrigerator when the door is opened.
I would definitely buy this dishwasher again.

Thought this KitchenAid would clean well because of all of the extra jets. I still don't think if it does as well or at least any better than the one we got with the home (cheap builder model). Not only that, it leaked several gallons of water all over my floor when I first used it. The ProDry feature is laughable. My old Bosch dried so much nicer...and did it without a heating element. This one is going back to the store!
