We went for induction because we could not run gas line to our kitchen, was getting far too cumbersome and expensive so we set out to trying induction. Induction cooking is very fast and safe, boils water so fast! We were not sure about this range as there were no reviews on the web on this product at that time. We liked the placement of large burners and the brandname that made us go for this product.
We have been using this range for over 2 months, So far, seems a nice range. Cooking is so fast, we use the cooktop to quick warm dishes instead of microwave, just take under a min. Cooktop is nice, easy to clean. The controls are on the backpanel, unlike other induction models where its on the cooktop itself. We preferred backpanel (less complex), thats one of the reasons we went for this model.
Only reason i am not giving 5 stars is bcos the burner sometimes doesnt accept smaller size pans. For some pans it doesnt mind for small differences, for others, it says no no. If Kitchen Aid can work this issue, that will make this a great product. But please read everything about induction before you buy. Takes a week or two to get adjusted and you may burn some dishes due since induction heating is instant and powerful. Got to change pans! Ikea pans 365 & Favorit work great! They are the best affordable option. Dont try induction interface plates, didnt work for this model. Oven is good, convect is quick, though we havent tried much. havent tried self cleaning option yet

We have been waiting for a few years for the price of induction to drop. Since we cannot have gas, induction is like combining the clean look of electric with gas performance. Finally decided to "go for it" when the right price came around. Could not be happier with the purchase. The induction is really as fast as they say. A pot of water will boil in under 2 min. The design is clean and well thought out. Overall, every feature has been a delight. My only complaint would be the over door venting allows for cleaning fluids to enter the space between the glass. Obviously only certain pans will work with induction so do your research.
