Originally, I purchased this particular unit because I wanted a Kitchenaid product to match the rest of my appliances and wanted a counter depth, with ice maker. This was the only one out there and I'm happy to say has exceeded my expectations. You will need to work with the shelves a bit in order to fit taller items, but it does work. I fit tall milk and juice in the door. Bottle of wine in the door (a special small door shelf for this right above the milk), I have lowered the top most shelf on the right and in the middle to accomodate extra tall milk, juice, bottles, etc. The capacity is a little small, but we have a secondary beverage frig for extra capacity. Added benefit, even the stainless surfaces are magnetic.
There is some noise from the machine (a little knocking from time to time), but this is the case with ANY refrigerator. And this one is much MUCH quieter that the other 3 I've had.

I am very satisfied with our KitchenAid Freestanding Bottom Freezer Refrigerator KFIS20XV. It looks very slick and modern. I like the french doors and bottom freezer design. Had a bit of trouble with the ice machine but AJ Madison scheduled service in no time. It was just that the lever that determines the size of the ice cubes must have been moved so the ice maker was not making ice. A little tweaking and it's working as it should. It is rather small in capacity because it is counter-depth. But we knew we had to sacrifice size to make it flush with counters for the clean lines.

Not enough room for tall item. For example top shelf cannot fit a ketchup bottle. Doors have room for milk, juice etc. but need more room on top shelf for taller condiment bottles. Bought this without actually seeing it in person. Ice maker takes up too much room. I like the set up of the freeezer portion but not refrigerator. Also there is a knocking sound occasionally and I'm not sure what that is.
