Rated 2 out of 5Â by dar44 Horrible service
Doors were uneven by nearly an inch and I was told by kitchenaide to live with it or pay to have it serviced. Kept on hold 46 minutes for that. Not their problem they said. As long as the unit cools there is nothing they will do. It is not even out of the plastic yet.
Haven't been able to use it to know if I like it but I would never buy another Kitchenaide product after my experience with their service call center.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by babimim Great Subzero Stand-in
couldnt afford a subzero but this unit is a nice alternative. It is good looking and quite roomy. I was nervous about the bottom slide out freezer but i am finding it very convenient and roomy, especially after having a few side by sides with no freezer space. The water feature is nice, not quite as convenient as having it outside the door but the trade off for more space it worthwhile. Sabbath mode is a terrific feature for us Sabbath observers. The french door requires that you close one door first, which takes some getting used to--i still keep slamming the wrong one which gets annoying.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by pheuker75 Great performing fridge
The product is simple to use, is fairly well built, keeps a very constant temperature, and produces clean water and ice. The drawers that pull out are made of plastic and seem like they might wear with time. The fridge MUST be level on the floor for the doors to close automatically. The freezer does have lots of space but seems small. This maybe due to the number of drawers, racks, and dividers in the freezer.

pheuker75 Great Semi-Custom Fridge
Bought the entire line of KitchenAid "Pro Line" appliances for my full kitchen remodel. The refrigerator is stunning in stainless steal, love the over-built handles, and 21.8 cu. ft. provides ample room for my family of four. Hooking up the 1/4" OD hose for water and ice was simple. Leveling the unit was also simple. Operation is very quite, the loudest sound it makes is when the ice drops into the tray, but once the tray is full operation is virtually silent. As with most refrigerators, the plastic cover that hides the wheels is flimsy and will break. Only the front is stainless, the sides are a magnetic plastic. The front is also magnetic.
