I have this 8000 dollar beautiful machine in my house for 3-4 years, it broke every years. It's the biggest nightmare i have in my life.
The ice maker not making ice, the temperature went up in the summer and give me alarm. I need to call service every summer and every issue I need to take days off, sitting at home for their service. An issue may takes 5 to 10 appointments until the wether cool down and machine will cool down. There is a fancy remote vision device hook up to house wifi and if anything wrong wit the refregirator, it will contact Meile automatically. You know what, it never link to my wifi unless I remove my wifi security.
This year went bad again and same issue and same parts need to be replaced. They want to charge 400 to fix the it because it not in the factory warranty anymore.
Can't wait to get rid of it.

Isa I will not have Miele product in my house anymore.
I bought it in November 2009. About 2 months later, the top fridge broke. I called service and several technicians came but could not figure out what the problem was. Finally I called the dealer and they arranged with Miele to replace it with another new refrigerator.
This second one was working for a year and the ice maker was broken, and has the same problem of temperature going up. This took me another 20 appointments, took the day off and waiting technicians visit. They fixed the ice maker but temperature went up once every couple day. Miele claim their ref working "perfect" in my house.
Miele can't fix the issue on their product but declair their working fine for 1/3 of time when it's plug in. That is a sham!

I had Sub Zero for life and was thrilled when Miele came out with this! Better lighting, Their verison Onstar for your fridge and Great Service to boot.
Love it since I got it and have recommended it to all my friends and family.

I purchased the KF1801 in June 2009. It was installed by a professional kitchen installer. The unit did not work well. Parts internal to the freezer kept breaking. The icemaker never worked well. The _F, 21, 01 numbers flashed all the time on the display. The doors were crocked. After 4 technician visits Miele replaced the unit. It was replaced by one of Mieles preferred installers. They did a sloppy job with respect to the kitchen cabinets. A lot of patching had to be done when they were done. They did not do the patching and painting.
The new unit is more noisy then the 1990 Frigidaire we replaced. After 3/4 of a year the water filter had to be changed. After replacing the filter and resetting the filer indicator this unit also flashes the _F, 21,01 numbers. And the unit does not make icecube. Been there before. I hope this is just a software bug and that I don't have to replace the unit again.
So fare the only thing I am really satisfied with is the appearance. It looks really nice.
