Rated 2 out of 5 Basic design issues
This refrigirator has a serious design flaw and though the company has a fix for it they are not willing to admit it and cover the repair costs.
The way the refrigirator door is designed, the bottom hinge is not adjustable. I don't know if other people have similar problems, but in my case, the hinge sits too deep, making the hinge side of the door too close to the surface and preventing complete closure of the door. Note, this issue is not a normal wear and tear issue, since it's been there from day one. To repair it, the door needs to be removed and shims (Kitchen Aid Part#2207470) inserted under the hinge mount.
BOTTOM LINE: A $5K hi end appliance should not have these kinds of issues. But if it does, the company should take care of it.
