Loved it when we first got it, but it was way overpriced. It fit the 36" space we needed to fill, so I was happy. And it worked for 5.5 years...just long enough to have absolutely no warranty left.
I did not like the fan -- too loud and not strong enough to pull up all the fumes & steam from my cook top.
I did not like the useless space -- when facing the microwave, the left-hand side is just filler space. If they needed filler space, they could've at least put in a secret door so we could store pot holders or salt/pepper...instead it's just unopenable filler.

You should DISCONTINUE this product because it has low quality & lasts for about only 1 year. Many people think it is way to big when you see it in store. This model looks like the JVM1870SK.

This Microwave was part of a package of appliances installed in the new homw I bought in 2007. The Magnetron failed shoetly after the one year labor warranty expired. the magnetron was replaced under warranty, but the labor cost for replacement approached the cost of bying a less expensive unit with the same features.
I like the vent door that opens at the top because it keeps stove vapoirs from condensing on the vent louvers.
This is my fourth microhood and like most the fan is marginally effective, this one has the loudest fan of all previous including two previous GE units.
