Owned for 18 months. Handle is not stainless, but is plastic with fake metal covering. I have already replaced the handle twice because the finish peeled off. For the last few months the heating became erratic. GE service tech was just here -> computer board needs replacement $299. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE.

This microwave is the best. I had a similar GE one that just stopped working and I needed one FAST for the holidays and AJ Madison shipped it in 2 days!
THe bottom buttons on this unit are great for my 10 year old to reach. The only negative with the buttons on the bottom is that they somewhat block your view of the food cooking if you are not very tall (I am 5'3"). ANd the only other thing I had on my other microwave which this one does not have is the "Expess" Cook - when you held in the 1-8 buttons it automatically started for 1-8 minutes. Not a huge negative but I do miss it.
The microwave is very sleek looking, I have it over a Jennair stainless range and it looks great. It is very powerful and its overall a great microwave. Definitely recommend it!
