Purchased this for my rental condo, replacing for model that was discontinued. Renters say it is very loud. They had GE service man in and said nothing could be done, it had been installed properly and this is the sound it makes - LOUD.

This microwave was a piece of junk. It never looked right. It performed weak. And it quit heating after 1 year. I had to throw it out and buy a new one. Don't buy any GE Microwave or product. I called for help and they wanted to have me pay to get a repairman. That would have been more than I paid for the microwave! It's no good. I'll never own another GE appliance.

Love; love; love this purchase. It is all I hoped it would be plus more. Easy and simple to use.There so much you can do with it. I haven't tried baking as of yet, but it works wonders on frying bacon, and cooking a roast. I am very proud of my purchase
