The GE Deluxe Range Hood configuration can be changed to fit the needs of various installation requirements. With vertical and rear exhaust, the hood provides the option of connecting duct work to either the rear or the top of the hood. Equipped with variable 3 speed fan control, it effectively pulls smoke and vapors out of the kitchen while the Cooktop Light provides light to illuminate the cooking surface below.

This range hood replaced a microwave/hood combo, so we needed it to not stick out too far. It has only about an inch more extension than the microwave combo, gives us a ton more room for head clearance and works well. Fan on higher speeds is a little loud, but it's a fan, so that's to be expected. Price was decent and with free shipping over a certain amount, and getting a sale on another item, we ended up getting this basically at no add'l cost.

This range hood is better than I was expecting it to be. The fan is not exceptionally loud, even on the highest speed, and the exhaust power is more than adequate for general cooking. The straight sides with the curved front are a nice change from the typical range hood design and fit quite nicely in a retro style kitchen if that's the look you're going for. I'm glad I went with this hood instead of one that was twice the price.
