We purchased this gas cook top to replace an electric one. Since the electric one was also a GE Profile, the dimensions for the gas cook top are the same and it fit the existing cutout perfectly. Looks and performs very well. The only drawback we can ascertain so far is that the burners occasionally get spills leaving unsightly stains which are impossible to clean. It will not look very nice after time.

We replaced a GE Profile downdraft cooktop that was the pits. It's component burners were 10K BTU and it took for ever just to boil a pot of water. This new cooktop really delivers good cooking performance for those serious about cooking. The double capacity super burner is terrific and all of the burners are adjustable in very small increments giving you very exact control of cooking.

We remodeled our kitchen with new counters and stainless steel appliances. We had white appliances before and the cooktop in particular was impossible to keep clean. The new stainless GE is very easy to clean and keep looking like new.
