The first JEM25B we purchased & installed was in 2005. Six months later, the microwave would intermittently start working & then quit sometimes within seconds of starting. Finally, it just stopped working altogether. GE replaced it as it was still under warranty. Within two months that one started doing the same thing. Another GE technician came out & tried to tell us it was a problem with our electricity! We managed to get it replaced by GE anyway in April of 2006. That final replacement is now doing the same thing 5 1/2 years later (I guess our electricity is bad again?). We have never been through so many microwaves in such a short period of time. We are light users (family of 2) & use it for reheating coffee, melting butter & that's about it. The size of this microwave is great, but the quality & reliability is very poor.

This unit is great. However, unlike the unit it replaced, it does not have a minute button (you have to add two zeros to your cook time every time) and has a revolving tray. It is unclear why when our twenty year old unit worked great without a tray, every unit in this size range had one.
However, otherwise the unit looks and works great and was easy to install (even I did it).
