Rated 2 out of 5 not a lot of choices
I agree with the other reviewer that this freezer is very loud and runs almost constantly. It took me a little while to figure out why my electric bills were through the roof last summer, but I realized it was because of this freezer. The efficiency claims on the sticker that was affixed the the unit when I received it are quite a stretch-- something like $35 a year to run it. I'd be happy if it were $35 a *month*, but in the summer it's way more. I called the company and they said something like, "well the claim on the sticker is just an average..."
Anyway, that said, when shopping for a freezer, I found that the only companies that make one 24 inches wide for under the counter are Perlick and Summit. Everyone I have ever talked to about it said Summit is junk and they break down quickly, so Perlick was the only choice left for me. I guess paying a very high price for this very imperfect product is all you can do in a country where supersized appliances fit for McMansions are the standard and choices for small spaces are extremely limited.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ccj A freezing COLD review
Much too difficult to reset controls if needed-- eg: power outage !!! Does not hold the temp once it is finally set correctly. The cooling appears to be somewhat location sensitive; areas near the vents are much colder than the center part of drawer. The unit never stops running. I don't know if this is normal, but it seems like it might be a power pig. At the least, the noise of a constantly running compressor is annoying . The unit seems to generate an undo amount of heat--great on cold, New York winter mornings. Perhaps not so great for the
power bill. On a more positive note, we are much happier with the freezer drawers than we are with the Perlick refrigerator drawers. Don't get me started... I Hope this helps someone make a better choice in selecting undercounter kitchen freezer/refrigeration than I did. It is not fun living with such a tangible reminder of ones' mistakes. Good luck to all. Ccj
