I am an architect and we purchased this model in 2006 (along with a stacked above built-in Miele coffeemaker--an excellent product), but unfortunately the microwave broke after 5 years. We have not repaired it yet--if it can be repaired (an electrical engineer friend believes it will have to be replaced at $3,000)--but like other Miele products, assume the repair will be extremely costly. We still use the convection oven. So caution to those who are considering purchasing this product.

We purchased this speed oven about 5 and 1/2 years ago and it's been nothing but problems. We've had repairmen come out twice to the tune of over 600.00 each time to fix minor things causing it to fail. Additionally, my Mother-in-Law broke the glass tray on it while cleaning and it cost $300.00 to get a new one! The thing beeps nonstop when food is done, which drives you crazy-esp. if your hands are occupied (such as cleaning meat) and you can't turn it off immediately. It doesn't pop popcorn at all- just burns it. We've played with the power setting but nothing helps. Other reviews on different sites have said the exact same thing. We got suckered into the Miele brand thinking it would be perfect, but it's nothing but a huge waste of money. Don't be fooled- get something else. We really wish someone would have told us that before we spent $3000!

Wanted a second oven that could also replace a separate toaster oven and microwave, very few items available to do that. This fits the bill, it is a wonderful machine, a piece of art.
I installed under the counter and it is my second oven/toaster (true broiler) and microwave. If you can handle the expense this is a great and beautiful addition to a kitchen.
I am surprised at how happy I am with this item out of everything in the kitchen remodel. High praise.
