Rated 1 out of 5Â by ibe annoying beep
This thing is the most annoying appliance I have ever seen. It constantly beeps if the door is ajar and beeps every time the door is opened or closed. The manual doesn't even reference the beep or a way to shut it off.

Rated 1 out of 5 Poor Design - Don't Buy
Older homes with shorter counter height and depth are stuck with dishwashers such as this model. The interior is too small for pots and pans (unless you want to wash them one at a time). The door beeps unless it's closed so the interior will never be dry unless you don't mind listening to the beep every 5 seconds. You wind up opening and closing the door constantly, which is going to wear out the latch. DON'T BUY THIS -- very poor product.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Argh Worst. Dishwasher. Ever.
This is the worst mainstream consumer product I've bought in my life. It is extremely sensitive to food left on the plates, and will fling the food around until it bonds onto a "clean" dish. Then, it fails to dry the dishes - even with the power gobbling heating turned on. Finally, when you open the dishwasher to let the dishes really dry, it sounds an annoying chirp every 5 minutes to let you know its door is open.
But this product's shortfalls don't end there. Its capacity is incredibly tiny. It holds about four dinner plates. Its bays for glasses don't accomodate standard 16oz highball glasses, so we lay them in willy nilly where bowls are supposed to go. That's kind of okay, because of course neither bowls nor our small plates fit in that area.
The silverware basket is a miracle of failed design. How long has Whirlpool been making dishwashers? Do you think they could make a silverware basket that DOES NOT FALL APART? We're holding ours together with zip ties. Furhtermore, forks placed on the right side of this silverware basket can scrape and damage the waterproof liner, which is why most dishwashers have the silverware basket bay in the front-center of the bottom rack, not on the side like this dishwasher.
Do not buy this product.

we purchased this model due a tight space counter height. Could not see the actual model..looked online and saw good pics of inside and out and read the reviews, mostly favorable. our main complaint which none of the reviews mentioned is that the "beep" that occurs when you open or shut the door continues every 60 sec. if the door is not shut tight--all the way. our unit is newly installed and to open the door is a strong pull--it's really tight when shut. As many times as you may add to the contents over the course of a day or two..I would normally leave the door ajar until ready to do a load; but with this unit you can't unless you want to listen to the constant beeping. anyone else have this problem?I called whirlpool--they had no explanation. would love some feedback on this. also agree the top shelf could've been a little lower and would have held more. not a great loading machine.
