This unit is a great way to save space. Often people forget to utilize vertical space. This GE unitized unit effectively uses vertical space. Another feature is the convenience of the dryer being overhead saves from bending over to reach clothes. This is a great buy!

I'VE HAD THIS MACHINE FOR 1 YR. AND I HATE IT. I'VE HAD ABOUT TEN REPAIRMEN OVER TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND THEY TELL ME THAT THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS MACHINE. THE DRYER IS FINE, BUT THE WASHER IS A NIGHTMARE. IT SPINS WAY TOO FAST, EVEN ON THE DELICATE CYCLE. IT THROWS OFF THE BALANCE AND WHEN IT SPINS DRY, IT BANGS FROM SIDE TO SIDE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE A JET PLANE HAS LANDED ON MY ROOF. THE VIBRATION IS SO BAD THAT THE PICTURES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE WALL WHERE THIS UNIT IS, FALL OFF. GE WON'T GIVE ME A NEW MACHINE, SO I HAVETO GRIN AND BEAR IT. I'VE ALWAY'S PURCHASED WHIRLPOOL OR MAYTAG, BUT WAS CONFINED TO SPACE. GE WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH A FULL SIZE WASHER & DRYER. DON'T BUY THIS MACHINE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I really like my GE unitized spacemaker washer and dryer as it does an excellent job and makes doing laundry very easy. I chose this unit because my laundry facilities are in my small kitchen and this saved valuable space and allowed me more cupboard and counter space. Both washer and dryer have the capacity for very large loads. This was a replacement of two single units that I have had in use now for 4 months.
