How The Waste Disposer Works
Food wastes are fed into the disposer through the sink drain opening. The wastes fall into the grinding mechanism and are shredded into particles small enough to be floated away by the water.
What The Disposal Grinds
The disposer will grind almost all items of food waste. Naturally, some items require less time to grind than others. Items such as animal fat, skin and hard bones take longer to grind than vegetable parings. Mixing different types of waste will improve grinding efficiency.

This product was a great value for a 1/2 hp disposal. It is quiet and easy to install. I highly recommend it.

Replaced the old disposer last week. This one is so much quieter I wonder if it's really working. The sink doesn't drain as quickly as with the old one. But, that's probably a good thing.

Easy to installed .My old one has steel body, but this one has plastic body. I wish the electrical (wiring) could be easy to connect but it's ok.
