Rated 1 out of 5 by Tarheelbear Do not buy! Love it when it works, but... Bought cooktop at ????, but it's made and guaranteed by Whirpool. Retailer offered a free 5-year warranty, so that's why we bought there. Stopped working about 4 weeks ago (after 12 months usage) with blinking lights underneath and a burning smell. After a few days technician came out, said he needed parts and would return soon. Came back 10 days later, installed the new parts, and got the famous "F47" error. It's now 4 weeks since we have had a cooktop and now Whirpool tells us it won't be able to get parts until June 13, if we're lucky...may take until June 19. 5/31/12

Service tech could not order a new user interface board and Whirlpool is going to replace the unit. My big concern is what happens after the warranty runs out and something breaks. 5/24/12

Rated 1 out of 5 by blue1der Product is Unreliable I purchased this cooktop a week ago. It has been majorly disappointing. After about three uses an error code, F47 popped up. A repairman came out, and couldn't fix it. We are now waiting on parts. Parts to fix a new stove!!!!!! We've been eating out, because, our brand new expensive stove DOES NOT WORK!! Avoid this appliance. The technology in theory is great, but in function it is a colossal failure. You WILL regret this purchase! Consider yourself warned! 4/11/12

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lisa Avoid it! I just bought this cooktop. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH IT!!!! WHEN it works it's great, but mine does NOT work! I bought it a week ago, and used it three times before the infamous "F47 error" code popped up on the right side of the stove. I called Whirlpool customer service. They sent out a repairman, days later. He couldn't fix it, so we're waiting to order parts. Meanwhile we're stuck with the bill and inconvenience of eating out everyday until they do- NOT CHEAP!!! I am EXTREMELY dissappointed with Whirlpool and this product. Consider yourself warned. Buy this product at you own risk! If it works like mine you will regret it! 4/11/12
