Bought this dbl. oven right before x-mas. First time I used it there was a terrible vibration noise. Called the installer who tinkered with it and said it was fixed. Used it again and there is still a loud vibration noise but the installer said that can't be fixed as it is the coolant fan on the control panel. It is so obnoxious that it spoils dinner as we wait for it to cool down and go off. I love to bake so am quite upset with it. I realize using the convection oven mode there would be a fan noise but for regular oven use I am very displeased. Would never buy it again.

The self cleaning function WILL fry the control board in the oven. I am lucky mine lasted almost 5 years (ridiculous). But they no longer make the control boards, you'll be lucky if you can even find a rebuilt control board. So after only 5 years I'm replacing my oven. Be careful Whirlpool makes most brands (maytag, jen-air etc.) GE and LG are probably the only regular retail brands that aren't made by whirlpool.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by scott_colorado Not bad, but...
Yes, the Control Board will go bad! There are no control boards to purchase as they are on NATIONWIDE back order! This means the soonest you can get on is 2/2012, and this may get pushed out - no guarantees on this date. I have this oven now, like it alot, but the front panel buttons went bad - cracked flex cable, then the control module went bad, and I can't get that. I am thinking of getting the same one as we like it, but there is a problem with the control board that sits in back of the front panel. Beware!

There is a major design flaw with this unit that Whirlpool refuses to correct. The control panel burns out. Look on the internet, its full of complaints. Four hundred dollar part, 200 dollar labor. Even when it worked it doesn't broil properly. The heating element cuts out when door opens, meaning that it is just an oven, not a broiler
