I have just been informed that my $2000.00 dishwasher, needs a $980.00 replacement part. When I purchased this very expensive, top of the line dishwasher I was assured the dishwasher would be "under the counter " for 20 years because of the quality and reliability of the product. Miele only provides a three year warranty so this should of been a tip off that the reliability claim was just hype. One year ago, I had to service the dishwasher because one corn kernel got stuck in " the float" making the machine inoperable. Don't buy Miele it's the equivalent a very expensive, tempermental sports car for you kitchen, looks great but you'll spend a fortune just keeping it on the road, or you can just stand next to the the pretty, big name product it just won't be operable!

Dishwashers all seem to get negative reviews, but the Mieles appeared to garner on average better marks from most owners. Our local appliance repair person, raves about Miele Dishwashers. So far this machine has performed perfectly and we really like the cutlery rack. It is quiet. Run times are long but you can use the 'turbo' setting that reduces efficiency in favor of a faster run time. Finding salt for the water purifier was a little challenging. We ended up using normal water-softener salt because we could not find specialty dishwasher water-softer salt and this seems to work fine. Also you need to enter your water hardness for the softener, which required a little sleuthing. Very large pots/half-sheet baking trays are difficult to fit in the bottom without removing an upper rack.

I had two of these dishwashers in my last house and really wanted a good, reliable dishwasher so it was worth the extra expense. These dishwashers are high end, work great and are very quiet. AJ Madison is the place to get great appliances. You absolutely get the best products with no tax and free shipping. This is only one of 4 products I ordered from AJ Madison for my new home. They are great.
