We had the Miele G832 SC Touchtronic 18 inch dishwasher for about 5 years and have had many troubles with it. It was installed by a pro from the store we bought it from. Pros: very quiet, and cutlery tray works great. Cons: 1.5 years after we bought it we needed to have a pump replaced and now we need to have another pump (circulation pump) replaced. Many times the dishwasher would stop draining the water and it also uses lots of very expensive salt ($12 per box that lasts us about a month). All in all, I had expected much more from a dishwasher we paid so much money for! Very disappointing!

I had this model for 13 years. It never once needed to be serviced, it was quiet, and when I moved out -- and, sadly, left the dishwasher behind (since it is the wrong size for my new apartment), the dishes were coming out as spotless as they had when I first installed it. It is a fabulous machine and I only wish I could put one into my new place. Yes, it's expensive, but I had a cheaper model before (also a half-size), and it was junk. Get this one; you will not be sorry.
