Shelves (containing the cooling coils) are very sturdy, but not adjustable. I did not find this to be a problem, but some may. Most of the door shelves are plastic, but sturdy - and adjustable. Freezer is relatively quiet, and interior lighting is bright. Overall good value. 3/16/13
