Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the fridge Got the "Black Ice" - After Sandy we had to rebuild entire house... picking out appliances was very hard because I didn't want stainless like I had before, no matter what everyone told me to do. Looking for an alternative, Whirlpool had an "Ice Collection" and I was interested. Love the finish on the fridge and it still has stainless handle color to make everyone else say wow, nice! Even if you get the stainless, the interior of the unit is very large and everything I ever wanted. Great that the ice machine is integrated into the door to give me more room on shelves. Lots of room and the freezer is fantastic too. Read some reviews that it is a little loud, but I totally disagree, it's fine and quiet. Love the alarm sound if you accidentally leave a door open - it's a perfect volume and distinctive sound. I am very pleased with the purchase. 2/27/13

We have owned this fridge for 6 months...we didn't hook up the water/ice feed because we were planning a renovation and wanted to wait to do the plumbing. This fridge keeps things cold. That is the best thing I can say. CONS - makes a very very loud noise like a skil saw is running every few minutes and that noise lasts about 15 seconds each time. - makes a frequent clunking noise (even though the water connection is not there...and it sounds like someone is dropping a marble onto the floor) -the handles are not really secure, they don't have a tight fit and I can see them coming off in the very near future. - the flap inside the one french door sometimes flips open on its own then when you go to close the fridge it bangs shut. - very difficult to move left to right, moves ok front to back. - awkward shelves seems like there are too many for the fridge. - compartment in door is useless (meant for pop or something) 11/30/12
