Rated 5 out of 5 by Really pleased I like the look of the appliance. It is quiet even with the oven fan running and the different buzzers are not too loud. You can even mute them if you want to. I doubt I will ever use all the buttons and whistles like chicken nuggets and pizza, but some things like melt/soften are great. I would have liked more ideas in the manual for how to do things like bacon in the microwave and the difference using the convection oven is in timing. 12/15/11
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better than GE When we purchased our house it had a GE combo microwave/wall oven, and we had several complaints with it. Would've preferred a regular range, it was in an inconvenient spot in the kitchen (not GE's fault, of course) and required a couple of expensive repairs. When it broke again at 13 years, we were stuck getting another combo unit because of the hole in the wall! Definitely did not want another GE, so did some research and found this Frididaire to provide the most for the money. Will have to wait to see if it breaks down, but so far so good. I REALLY like the convection feature ... was apprehensive but it speeds up baking time dramatically. Microwave has an annoying beep that won't stop when it has completed its time. You can turn off sounds entirely (not desirable for me) but can't adjust the beep. I would still prefer a traditional range, but as we had to replace a combo with a combo, I feel we improved on what we had before. Also, by purchasing online, we saved $500 over buying at the appliance store. 10/24/11
