When a repairman came out we discovered that there was a faulty design to the ice compartment which allows warmer air from the refrigerator to get into the ice department. This caused the fan to burn out and wires were destroyed. It was not repairable. Because I purchased an extended warranty, I was given a check for the purchase. I'm now looking for a new refrigerator. 8/24/12
