I hesitated to get stainless but am happy with it. Just as easy to clean as porcelain, and doesn't chip. Love this cooktop for it's ease of use. No unnecessary bells and whistles. Cast iron grates nice and solid. Again, no chipping or wearing off of enamel.

Just to make you aware that the front right burner is a fast boil burner and the rear right burner is a simmer burner. I think I would have preferred the simmer in front and the boil at the back. I have the black model. I like the individual grates for easy cleaning. I think I would have gotten a more attractive design but wanted to save a little money. I chose to keep the gas cooktop. I now think the electric smooth tops are more attractive. I like having the operations on the right, but a fifth burner would have been nice in the configuration.

DesertRat Great Looking Cooktop
I had not cooked with gas for many years, but my new retirement home had an old gas cooktop, so I replaced it with this one. I find I love cooking on gas. This cooktop is very attractive and was a great value for the price, plus it is very easy to keep clean.
