This was a replacement for an identical configuration but ancient Kithcenaid. Good fit and about the same quality; it looks like it should last the 40 years it predessor did. The only complaint is that the "brushed chrome" finish scratches rather easily. This is only a problem when the lights of the are on brightest setting.

This unit replaced the original cook top in my kitchen which is 48 years old. The cut-out in my counter was about 3/16' too large and the unit would fall through the opening but with a little modification I was able to make it fit and it looks great and works fine. I am very pleased.

We updated our 30yr Frigidaire cooktop with this newer version. Stainless steel is very clean with a matte finish. If you are trying to match up to your other stainless steel appliances you may want to look carefully at the type of shine your appliances have. Performance is quick and elements are durable. This is a very basic model so price matches up nicely.
