New Jersey's Clean Energy Program recently announced enhanced incentives for residents recovering from Hurricane Sandy. If your home is located in a zip code designated as a "major" or "minor" damaged area impacted by Hurricane Sandy, you may be eligible for the $50 clothes washer rebate even though the rebate is closed to the general public as of December 31, 2012. (If you purchased and submitted an application prior to December 31, 2012 you do not need to take any further action).

Customers seeking the incentive for purchases after January 01, 2013 should submit a hard copy of the application, and also include a certification form. If your home is located outside the eligible zip code list, you may also qualify for the $50 rebate by demonstrating that you have experienced damage caused by Hurricane Sandy (to be evaluated on a case by case basis). Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicely Sized Front Loading Washer I purchased this washing machine as part of a Frigidaire washer/dryer combo so the combined price was excellent. The build quality is good and the overall size is perfect for tight spaces (in my case a laundry closet), while still retaining a normal capacity. The other benefit is its Energy Star Rating. The control panel is very straightforward but the lack of a user-controlled rinse temperature is a negative if you're used to this type of control on your washer. If you can get past the lack of an adjustable rinse temp control, then this washing machine is an excellent choice. 4/2/13
