I wanted to update my Maytag washer and dryer. After reading several reviews I decided to invest into Electrolux machines. It costed me a small fortune but I thought I was buying a good quality reliable product. Little I knew! After 9 months my dryer stopped working. I called their warranty department and they sent a technician. The guy took a look at the dryer and told me that a part of the blower housing was broken. This part used to be made of metal and now it's plastic and very likely to break. If it breaks it might damage a motor, a blower and some other parts (which happened to my dryer). Those replaced parts would have just 90 days warranty. With all those repairs it would take them at least 2 weeks to fix my dryer. When I expressed my concerns about the same plastic part breaking again I was advised to buy an extended warranty for each year I am using this dryer (additional $100). So, if you are considering buying this product you'll have to include this extended warranty into your annual budget.

I've only had this dryer for <2 months and the door started not to close tightly. Electrolux guys came in and said that the hinge needs to be replaced. Not happy especially for the price of this dryer. : (
I'm still waiting for the hinge to come.

Energy saving, dries well and quickly, steam feature is very nice. Door can be flipped from right to left.

Just great all the way around. Holds huge loads and dries them with ease. Lots of options, and its easy to figure out even if one is somewhat reluctant to actually study the user manual! The fast dry option really does need to be used for very small loads, though.... "no iron" clothing truly emerges without the need to touch up with an iron. Amazing. The alert tones are pleasant, rather than a harsh buzzer, nice light that can be turned on while the dryer is running if desired. Its a joy to do laundry now.
