Rated 5 out of 5 by Trudi65 This freezer has great features
We love this freezer! It is frost free. It is in our kitchen and is very quiet. I love the fact that it has an alarm if the temperature begins to drop. You can silence the alarm and call for service. We are very happy with our purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TeeM So far so good!
I'm pleased with this freezer so far. I've only had it about a month.
The freezer is in the laundry room, so the noise is not distracting. If it were in a part of the house we were in all the time it might be distracting.
The only reason I gave it 4 Stars overall.
A great freezer for the price

This freezer replaced one we had for over over 20 years that just stopped cooling effectively one weekend. So we needed to get a replacement fairly quickly or lose all the food that was in the freezer. As it was we had to throw out a lot of the food (but not all) that thawed before we could get this new freezer delivered. Just wanted to let you know we were somewhat under the gun to buy a freezer but are definitely pleased with this freezer choice.
Freezer is slightly smaller (which we wanted) than the one it replaced but it has the same interior layout (shelves and baskets) except for the door storage bins which aren't as deep. We have only had it several weeks and it is working just fine. Our old freezer had several features this one doesn't have but we knew that when we bought it. The old one could be locked with a key (which we didn't normally use but was a nice feature to have when you wanted to insure the freezer was "really" closed!) and an alarm if the door was left partially ajar and the temperature in the freezer went up. The alarm option saved us a number of times since the freezer door didn't seal tightly all the time. The new freezer seems to do a better job sealing when closed and thus far we haven't encountered any partial door openings. But it would definitely be nice to have the alarm as a safety back-up. The freezer has an external power light indicator like the old one had and this feature is unquestionably an asset. One of the nicest features of the freezer is how quiet it is. The freezer is in our back entryway leading to the kitchen and we can't hear it in the kitchen when it is running (which doesn't seem to be often). Frankly, we weren't aware how quiet it ran when we bought it so we are more than pleasantly delighted .

Rated 4 out of 5 by waterguy a very good freezer
This is a very good freezer. Spacious, very quiet, and easy to see inside. Would have preferred continuous shelves on the door instead of separate bins because some storage space is lost. My only aggravation is the handle keeps pulling off the door brackets - flimsy design in my opinion. Otherwise a good freezer for a reasonable price.
