The main complaint I have about this unit, is that the smooth top surface scratches very easily despite being super careful and using appropriate cookware. Unlike my first Dacor smooth top which I had for more than 15 years with not a single scratch. Obviously the smooth top material used on the previous models was superior in quality to what is used now on these newer models. I wish Dacor goes back to using the "Ceran" material for their cooktop. Also another annoying feature is that the touch controls are located in the middle of the cooktop surface which means that the burners can be accidentally turned On/Off easily when unintentionally touched. Other than that the cooktop seems to be doing what it is supposed to do and I am happy with its performance so far (3 months).
