We purchased an ICON suite and after initial installation problems were solved the refrigerator and range are fine. The dishwasher however is a piece of garbage. And that includes the garbage left on the dishes. After numerous service calls, we have decided it's just a bad design. Energy efficient means not cleaning efficient according to the last service man. 5 different companies. You can't get dishes clean when they are continually rinsed with leftover wash water. The inside never dries out and if left closed/empty for 2 or 3 days mold begins to appear. I will replace with an "old style" less energy wise as soon as I save the money. This was the advice of the last service man. He said make sure it has a drying element, a food grinder and empties with each cycle.

I am now on my second Icon dishwasher. Electrolux replaced the first one because it could not be fixed. And by "fixed" I simply mean clean. The second one is just as horrible. NEVER do dishes come out clean. The customer rep that was on the phone with the repair man reminded me of a used car salesman. "The customer should use powder detergent". Oh, then why did Electrolux PROVIDE the Cascade gel when I purchased it?! I humored them and switched...... no difference. I humored them and did a hard water test......all good with my water. Which I KNEW because the $500 Maytag dishwasher I had before this $1400 piece of scrap metal did a wonderful job of cleaning. I am so sick and tired of hand washing all my dishes AFTER they run through this dishwasher. I will be replacing it VERY soon. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Stacey Doesn't wash well.
We finished remodelling our kitchen Sepember 2011 and have all Electrolux icon profesional series appliances. We have two of the dishwashers, both don't wash very well, especially dried up food on dishes. Even if I use the Pots cycle, I never, ever have a full clean load. Front and center of top rack always fail to thoroughly clean. Yes we have water filter and water softener systems in the house in case any one wonders. Already technician fixed one of them 2 months ago... Still works the same. Doesnt wash nor dry very well.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Perfectionist Broke down in 14 months, no warranty!
We purchased a complete set of new ELECTROLUX ICON appliances to replace out 7 year old GE units that still were working fine. The new Electrolux dishwasher broke down in only 14 months and is no longer covered by warranty. Very disappointing for a $2,000 unit. In hindsight I should have mixed & matched and got a Miele dishwasher. Those are the best!
