We purchased this model because it was the only unit that would fit. We replaced a 20 year old Whirlpool which the door was all rusted. The only improvement was the way the icemaker works. We lost one shelf in the freezer side and one less drawer in the frig side. So it was a net loss!

I live in a condominium with limited space for a refrigerator, so I was looking for a side-by-side 22 Cu-Ft. refrigerator after my GE refrigerator (not from AJMadison) died in the middle of Texas summer. After some online research I contacted AJMadison and others. AJMadison sales representative gave me the facts without trying to over-promise. They did not have the off-white color I wanted in stock and he told me it would take some times to get it. I settled for white. They delivered a day early and handled the entire process very professionally. I am very satisfied with that purchase!

We own our second model and love it. It makes our tiny kitchen feel and look more spacious being a side-by-side. The pets in our house make the fur-proof cabinet a must. It really keeps food well for a long time and we like the new deeper door shelves. I like the crushed ice option in the door dispenser, too. I'd definitely buy another.

I bought this Whirlpool frig thinking that it would live up to the Whirlpool name and rep. The frig works good and looks good, but the icemaker has given me nothing but trouble. It will clog up and completely stop working. I can't even get the ice holder off to try and fix it. Twice I've had to call a service repair man to fix it for me. Whirlpool has been OK to deal with, but if it breaks again I'm going to get my money back.
To me the icemaker is a very important feature on the side-by-side frig. So, I wouldn't recommend buying this one. Don't say I didn't warn you.
