With a Fisher & Paykel appliance you gain the benefit of 70 years of appliance innovation. Established in 1934 with an enterprising spirit, Fisher & Paykel has developed an innovative culture that challenges conventional appliance design.
Rethinking how to store and preserve food, Fisher & Paykel was on a mission when it created Active Smart, an advanced refrigeration system. Active Smart uses unique electronic intelligence to continuously monitor and adapt its cooling conditions, adjusting the flow of cold air based on daily use and climate conditions. So it's not working overtime or under par, just smarter and more efficiently.
Even the produce bins provide maximum care. Humidity controls keep lettuce green, herbs garden-fresh and fruit crisp for up to two weeks. What about the homemade gazpacho in the refrigerator, or the just churned ice cream in the freezer? Independent sensors accurately monitor temperatures in both compartments to maintain the safest most precise temperature.
Active Smart technology has been given a new addition, an integrated water dispenser providing you with chilled filtered water and an internal ice maker for clean, crisp ice cubes on demand. With no impact on space in the freezer or refrigerator door, this is the perfect addition to the Active Smart family.
This refrigerator uses 535 kWh/yr and has an estimated yearly operating cost of $59.33.
Your operating costs will depend on your utility rates and use. The estimated operating costs is based on a 2011 national average electricity cost of $0.1109 cents per kWh. For more information, visit www.ftc.gov/appliances.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Leaky Leaky water dispenser
The fridge is well laid out, we like the shelves, how food and everything fits. We really like the slide out bins that use metal instead of plastic. But the water dispenser is a tortured drip. It is constantly dripping and this appears to be a "common" issue when I research the internet. Disappointed? Irritated? Shocked? Frustrated? If I could find one word that connects these in meaning that is how my spouse and I feel.
