From the bold look and feel of the professional controls, to the confidence of interlocking cooking grates to the resounding stainless steel exterior, the E48DF76EPS dual-fuel range is all about substance, power and control. You'll cook like a gourmet and bake with the precision of a pastry chef.
Bring a lobster to a quick boil. Whisk a delicate bearnaise sauce. Simultaneously. Choose one of the six burners that suits your task. From the 17,000 BTU Power Burner to the 8,500 - 850 BTU Precision Burner, this cooktop provides a wealth of cooking possibilities.
Bake bread by convection in one oven, cook a roast conventionally in the other. The double oven provides you with capacity and flexibility like you've never experienced before. By adding a third cooking element and a convection fan, heat is distributed faster and more evenly throughout the oven. Cooking every meal to perfection has never been easier.

Although I love my 48" ICON I do NOT love the shiny-never-stays-clean-glass surface; the black shiny surface under the grates. It is impossible to keep clean; every drip of water or grease shows. For a gal who cooks a LOT, it's a nightmare to keep clean. I don't want to spend additional time cleaning on top of cooking, but this is precisely what I have to do.
Also, the stainless steel easily scratches AND the burners burn very hot. If one wishes to simmer, even using the hot plate doesn't keep that pot at a simmer. I can't tell you how many riscotto dishes I've burnt.
My advise to those interested in buying the Electrolux Icon: if you don't cook a lot, if you don't mind cleaning a lot, and if you don't mind scratches a lot, and if you don't mind burning a lot: buy it.

I LOVE the commercial look of both the interior and exterior. Friends are always impressed when they walk into my new kitchen and see my shiny piece of kitchen "furniture". However, I am disappointed with the LOW settings on the gas burners. None of the burners go low enough to keep items from burning w/o close supervision. YOU HAVE TO USE THE SIMMER PLATE. There should be at least one burner that has an ultra-low setting. I just turn the setting to "ignite" and take it to almost OFF so I don't have to pull out the simmer plate every time I cook. For the cost, it should have a lower setting. I had a Jenn-Air dual feul previously, and this feature was included for $3,000 less.

We've been cooking on our 48" Icon range for 5 months now, and I love it! I have no complaints whatsoever... the burners are powerful but precise. The simmer plate works great. The wok ring (over the 18K burners) is a godsend. The ovens are big, convect is consistent, and temps are very accurate.
Having 6 burners in a 48" space is such a luxury... you can use even the largest Le Creuset Dutch ovens and have plenty of room around them to use the other burners.

I bought this range 2 years ago. I got lucky and found one on sale. It is the best money I ever spent on an appliance. It has a straight edge look to it. Very modern. When Holiday's arrive, we have all six burners going and sometimes both ovens. I had a knob ring melt because I left the oven door open, called electrolux and sent a new one to my home next day. The dishwasher and refrigerators are just as good!Buy a Ventahood (hood) the stove with all burners going puts off some heat.
