I did plenty of research prior to my purchase of this cooktop. I had to make the purchase sight unseen, as there weren't any dealers in my area that could sell the ICON line. I couldn't be happier with my choice. I had not used gas in many years, so it took some getting use to, but the performance is great and the look is terrific. It really gives a classy look to my newly remodeled kitchen.

This is the only item I bought that was not Icon Professional. It looks great with the Icon Professional microwave n ovens. I am not sorry at all that I bought this one instead of the professional. Makes no difference in style.
If you want to spoil yourself, buy this 6 burner set. It does have a griddle that you lay over burners, I keep it put away. It also comes with a tortilla warmer..not sure of its other uses.
This stove makes you rethink everything you know about the negatives of gas cooking. You won't be turning it on accidentally, and you will NOT have messy clean up. It is spill proof. I didn't really understand that till I got mine, but virtually there is no nooks or cranny's that can get food in them. The grills have cushions on them so when you put them aside, they won't scratch your counter tops.
Clean up is simple, the surface around your burners is a glass like surface. You can wipe it with windex, sponge etc... 6 burners are a dream and the pots don't bump into eachother if you are using all 6 at the same time.
I LOVE it!
(If you are putting a microwave over it, electrolux makes a trim kit for their 30" microwaves, expanding it to 36")
