The deep sump design of the E36GC70FSS contains spills for easy cleanup and creates a countertop-level cooking surface that simplifies maneuvering of oversized pots and pans. The interlocking grates are designed for cooking multiple dishes at varying temperatures on a single cooktop. They spread weight over a broad area providing a stable cooking surface.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kitchen_Byr Subject to damage
Four out of five of my Electrolux appliances arrived or went bad within three months of purchase. This was one.
Right out of the box, the enamel on a grill was chipped and is now rusting. A knob was also dented. The knobs should be your biggest concern, as they are apparently stamped sheet metal. Since they are exposed, careless placement of a heavy pot would likely do some damage. If you're going with Electrolux anyway, look for a model with knobs out of harms way.
The unit is fully functional and quite attractive, but I would not buy it again.

This is a beautiful cooktop and functions as well as it looks. It is easy to clean and cooking temperature is easy to control. It has a re-strike feature that relights a burner if it blows out. My previous cooktop exploded when a burner was left slightly on and a second burner was ignited. I have butane fuel.
