Love this item. From the first use, we've had our foods turn out wonderful - literally, perfect. I started off with chocolate chip cookies - I made and froze the dough before the microwave arrived, convection baked them the day after it was installed (from a frozen state), and they turned out perfect, as have all the foods we've prepared in this model. The microwave works great, too. I am suitably impressed and do most of my baking in this oven.
I know there are some negative reviews, but the only thing I can gather is they're not using the product correctly, and it sounds like some didn't take the time to seat the fan properly and check for free movement of the impellers prior to installation. If the fan is not seated properly, it will rub and make noise. Take time to install it correctly.
Convection baking takes practice. I'm familiar with it because I have an Electrolux range, and only bake with convection now. Take time to learn how to cook with convection. Here's what I do, and what I recommend: Cook your foods at 25 degrees lower than called for in a radiant-heat oven, and bake for the recommended time. This works every time for me in the Electrolux microwave/convection oven, too.
Our rack is sturdy and stable.
The hole template was right-on, as was the mounting template.
We truly enjoy this item.

I had a GE Convection Microwave for many years and it was solidly made, not so for the Electrolux. The filtering system is poorly designed which collects grease everywhere, top, bottom sides. The filter holders are made of very thin expanded metal which serves just to hold the screens and not much stronger.
Cooking using the Convection portion was okay if you did not need temperatures above 350 degrees. It appears the heating element was undersized. The rack was as flimsy as the filter elements, sagged under the smallest weight 1lb dish. For the money it's an over priced appliance that looks good but barely fair for performance.

This microwave looks good, and was mainly why my wife chose it. But it fails in its use. The fan is outrageously LOUD, far louder than it should be. Plus, it won't shut off, even after use (as a fan only) until it decides to. What a racket! The light over the stove has all the intensity of a nightlight. Forget about using it to see what you're cooking. The control panel is also a nightmare: hard to press the buttons with a layout that utterly escapes my sense of logic. It also scratches as soon as you use it. As for cooking, it seems to function okay but the other design features made us get rid of it after only two years. Avoid this.

Happy with the product as it provides us with a second oven and upgrades the appearance of our kitchen.
Disappointed in that the 1st unit had been previously returned by someone as it was missing toggle nuts, the mounting plate was deformed and one mounting nut missing (probably the reason for its return). This meant we could not install and had to return to replace meaning it was not installed for Christmas as planned.
