We have now owned this double oven for a year. 10 people, 3 cooks, used morning to night, every day for the last year. Breads, roasts, cookies, pies, cakes, fish, etc. Both ovens regularly used simultaneously. All 10 of us love this unit. To be fair, we haven't EVER dared try the self-cleaning, even with having the extended warranty. Not willing to risk being without it for even a day. That would be the case with ANY brand oven, for us anyway. We predominantly bake in our home, so not a whole lot of broiling. Roasted a whole chicken the other day w/o covering. It was done to perfection, wonderfully cooked skin and deliciously juicy meat. Both daughters-in-law love the ovens as well. The Wave feature is equally loved. Cannot praise this enough. My husband says that when we move again, we are getting an Electrolux Icon for our new home. He doesn't use the ovens, but he eats the food baked in them. Thank you Electrolux for a beautiful appliance, and a great deal(it was when I got mine). **I cannot believe I almost left off this review without commenting on a few things!!! How dare I forget all the glorious components, such as: wave touch (LOVE IT); glide racks(will never be without these ever again); interior lighting is awesome. **Some people have made commentary about fan noise, annoyance of fan blowing, heat coming from fan, and blinding panel light** Very glad I didn't heed those complaints. FOR THE RECORD: The fan sound is so minimal that I have had to literally press my ear to the oven door just to see if it's still on. I am not particularly old people, and I'm not in need of a hearing aid. I've even asked the other 9 people in the house if the oven fan is noisy - NO it is not, it is in fact quite quiet. Let's address the fan blowing/venting heat/annoyance in one shot: Once again, I have had to literally stick my face up against the venting area just to see what the heck the complaints were about. People said it was too hot blowing at them as they walked by, or that it was annoying that it was blowing at them as they walked by. Both of these complaints are completely not possible nor true. The exterior of the ovens are cool to the touch, even when both are on at 425 degrees(personal experience). The fan (heat) is never hot, and so called breeze is only felt when you shove your face into/up-against the vent. We all do this constantly just to smell the food cooking inside the ovens. There are 3 small children here 2-7. We let them sniff at the vents. The 2yo likes the interior light to be on while cooking so she can stand at it and watch. She has placed her hands on the oven glass facing in her excitement. No external heat issues what-so-ever. The (blowing) does not extend out to be able to blow in your face as you walk by. Onto the amusing complaint of the blinding panel light. What are you talking about? What neon sign are you confusing this with. When I read these complaints last year, it made me wonder. After my purchase and checking the complaints out for myself, I'm now convinced it must have been a zealous competitor. Haven't found a valid complaint yet. *I also nearly forgot to say that it heats up pretty quick as well. Yes, it does have 2 timers for those of you who said it didn't. Sales people at numerous places tried to talk me out of this and into a **** or *********. They said it's too unreliable, numerous repair issues. Yet the brands they tried to sell me had horrible repair history and cost quite a bit more. I am not a brand snob. I'm not buying an appliance to show off and 'impress' people by throwing a name around. A properly functioning reasonably priced tool is what I wanted, and found in my elec icon.

Excellence in cooking assured with this oven. The overall size is amazing and the features are the best on the market. The heating is consistent throughout the oven and the added features and cooking variations allows for tailored baking/broiling. The pull-out shelves are great features with enough racks to take care of business!

We had this 'top of the line' Electrolux ICON professional double wall oven installed during a custom kitchen remodel in late 2009. Within 2 months, the electrical panel was not working. They said it was a design problem and replaced the panel. Same thing happened a month later and then again 1 year later. After that the heating element failed. Now it is broken again for the 5th time in 3 years (top oven does not heat at all). Electrolux will not cover the repair or replace units. Stay away from Electrolux products, particuarly the wall ovens.

Just had these ovens installed a couple months ago now. They are beautiful on the outside and definitely work well inside. I have baked, broiled, convection baked, and used the bread proofing feature (which I LOVE, because my house is too cold in the winter for bread to rise well!) There are so many shelves in each oven and so many different configurations to put them in. The full slide out shelves are convenient for getting things in and out of the oven. When using the convection, you do need to rotate your items half way through, since there is the single convection fan in the rear. Two fans on the sides would heat more evenly, but for the price I don't mind rotating them. The digital control panel is super sexy, and also the interior "theater" lighting. I couldn't be happier!
