Besides looking good, a high end range hood has two functions. It should provide enough light for the task at hand and it should exhaust cooking odors efficiently. This product falls well short in both areas. Please consider the following.
The two 40 watt bulbs are quite inadequate for a hood of this size. Keep in mind that 40 watts is the maximum allowable. Incredibly annoying when trying to season.
When I tried to remove the bulbs, hoping that they were less than the 40 watt maximum, the glass globes of both bulbs separated from their respective bases. It seems the compound in the bulb that attaches the glass globe to the metal screw-in-base had broken down and simply let go. By the way, Bosch will happily sell you replacement bulbs at $45.00 a piece .... let's see ... $45 X 2 = $90.00. Unbelievable! My unit is less than 2 years old.
Despite having a 600 CFM capacity fan, the manufacturer gives you a toggle switch with 2, yup, 2 speeds. You have a choice of approximately 200 CFM or 600 CFM. The low setting does relatively little. When you turn it to high, it moves plenty of air but is quite deafening (my guess is somewhere in the 85 - 95 decibel range) and that is with 8" duct work.
For most cooking applications, something in the 200 to 500 CFM range would be good but isn't available due to the toggle switch control. I couldn't believe they limited the unit by not putting in a slider switch or a rheostat.
To say that I'm disappointed with this product would be an understatement.

Great fan!! works well on hi speed, but a little loud!. It would have been nice if there was a medium speed, and 2 different light brightness options.
