Rated 5 out of 5 by Preacher Boy I don't even know it is on
I am very pleased after getting passed other peoples opions about LG products. I think i will even purchase some of there other products because of my puchase of this dryer and the washer. very quit and has many functions, took a mminute to get used to them but it is easy to use and looks great. plus the jingles / music played when ready / Finished is a nice touch instead of those aweful buzzers...

Takes a little getting used to-many dryer settings to choose you can put in manual settings if desired.
Wish it was a little simpler.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Terface52 Front loaders take more work than top loaders
We had been researching front-load machines for a while, and when our 15 year old top loader bit the dust in December 2012, we were pushed into making a decision. LG products had good reputations, so we purchased a washer/dryer pair.
The main thing I have noticed is that front loaders require a LOT more work on a weekly basis than top loaders. After every washing day is done, you have to wipe it down to avoid mold growth, take the detergent drawer out and wipe it, and then leave the door ajar to let it dry out completely. Every two weeks you have to open up the bottom and drain out excess water, and clean out a filter. Every month you have to run a special cleaning cycle, and then wipe it down. These washers are much more exacting from the maintenance stand point, especially the part about wiping out the inside around the door gasket. I have friends who have front loaders and they complain about the smell, which I hope we never have to deal with as we can leave the machine door full open due to the location. I believe the smell is due to mold growth.
Clothes tend to get very tangled during the wash cycle, so you have to be careful to take them out right away, and untangle them before you dry them. For this reason, I never feel comfortable putting a load in when I leave for work in the morning, and drying it when I get home.
We purchased the pedestals, which raises them up a LOT. I happen to be tall (5'11"), so it's not a problem, but if you are short, I wouldn't recommend them, as the detergent drawer is on the top, and although I can still reach it, if you are short, it would be difficult!
On the plus side, the water and detergent use is great, and my clothes do seem to be cleaner than with my old washer.

Rated 5 out of 5 Easy to use.
Much like my LG washer, the dryer is easy to use. My only issue is the sensor dry still leaves my clothes damp. It gets the job done, I just extend the dryer time. Overall, I'm happy with the dryer.
