I did ALOT of research before buying our new washer and dryer. LG got wonderful ratings based on a leading consumer report group and people's reviews. This washer is great. It is easy to use and does a wonderful job cleaning. It is also very quiet! It has a load sensor so it figures out just how much water it will need. I definitely recommend this washer.

I needed a decent sized dryer, but because of a small washer/dryer closet, could not use a full-size, vented dryer.
My alternatives were to purchase a vent-free dryer, or a compact unit.
I opted for the vent-free unit.
I could not be more pleased!
I have read reviews from others who love this unit, and some who do not!
For our purposes, it works very well.
It works as well, and probably better than any vented dryer that I've ever owned.
This particular unit dries the clothing completely, or at least it does for us, based on the way we use it.
We make sure to never overload it.
I had to purchase a mis-matched washing machine though, as the unit that this one is paired with, is simply too small for our purposes.
This unit is a 4.2 cubic foot dryer, but the washer that it was paired with was only 2.3 cubic feet.
As such, I had to go with a mis-matched top-loading washer, rated at 4.0 cubic feet.
The mis-matched pair work well together, but it would have been nice to have a matching pair.
I would recommend that LG try to make a larger capacity washer (at least 3.6 cubic feet), that still fits in the 24" to 25" category.
Also, the width wasn't really the problem for us, it was the depth. Our laundry closet is only 29" from the back wall, to the front wall, with another inch to the bi-fold doors. Effectively giving us 30 inches of depth to play with. The unit itself, and all hoses, electrical cords, and vent, would all need to comfortably fit in this 30 inch depth!
Having said that, I absolutely love this new dryer.

I love my LG washer & dryer !! They are very efficient and beautiful. Could not be any happier. I have these machines for over a year. After a year, I can truly say they get the job done. They are just perfect for a small 2B/2B beautifuly renovated apto.

I bought this dryer because I wasn't able to make a vent for a standard dryer. I've had it about a month, and so far it's performed flawlessly. It seems to affect clothes differently in the drying process, but the end result is dry clothes, so that's all that matters. The controls offer a nice range of options, most of which I haven't explored yet. Due to the comparative high cost, I wouldn't recommend this as a first choice, but if you're in my situation regarding a vent, this will do the job for you nicely.
