Yes. The thing makes 32 lb. of ice a day. But it just keeps doing that without stop until it overflows. The bottom of the ice holder also fills up with water. A lot of water! What isn't obvious until you use it is that there is no auto shut-off. And when you put it on "stand-by" it shuts off. So, the ice melts.
As a result, it is okay for a party if you turn it on the day of and shut it down afterward. But it is useless for continuous use in a home bar where you want to have a small amount of ice available all the time.

This ice maker made ONE bucket of ice and quit. I have other ice makers that have lasted 11-12 years and this one did not last 11-12 minutes. I would not have this ice maker if they did give me one for free. YOU CAN NOT DEPEND ON THIS UNIT.

We bought this icemaker to have extra ice since we have an inground pool and have lots of parties. The icemaker is beautiful and matched my other stainless steel appliances wonderfully. But there is a major problem with these icemakers. The first one we had quit making ice within 3 months and then stayed in the shop for 6 months. Danby finally gave up on it and gave a new icemaker. That icemaker worked for one month and then did the exact same thing the first one did and quit making ice. Now Danby has given a third new one, so we'll see how long it last. I don't know if there was just a batch of bad icemakers made or if their products are just that sorry. I have been pleased with Danby giving us new products, however for the price paid, their products should work much better and not quit!!!!!
